Possible Causes
Blocked condenser unit, Lint build-up in dryer air duct, Faulty dryer fan motor, Restricted air intake or outlet vents within combo
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning internal ducts.
- Clean accessible filters: Remove and clean any lint filters provided in the door area or condenser access. Rinse under running water and dry thoroughly.
- Check condenser (if user-accessible): If your Rangemaster model has a removable condenser cassette, slide it out and flush it with warm water to remove lint and detergent residue. Allow to drain and dry before refitting.
- Inspect air ducts: Remove the top and/or rear panel to access the dryer air ducting. Use a vacuum and soft brush to remove lint from ducts, heater housing, and fan intake.
- Check dryer fan: Locate the dryer fan motor and impeller. Ensure the impeller is not loose or obstructed. Spin it by hand; it should rotate freely. Replace the fan motor if seized or noisy.
- Reassemble and test: Refit all panels and run a timed drying cycle with a small load to confirm improved drying and that E12 does not reappear.
