Possible Causes

Partially blocked pump filter, Obstructed standpipe or sink waste, Collapsed internal drain hose, Weak drain pump motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and prepare for water spillage when opening the filter.

  • Clean pump filter thoroughly: Open the pump filter flap, drain residual water, and remove the filter. Use a brush to clean all lint and debris from the filter and pump cavity.
  • Check external plumbing: Remove the drain hose from the standpipe or sink trap and check for blockages. Clean the sink trap if connected there.
  • Inspect internal hose: If drainage is still slow, access the internal drain hose from pump to rear outlet. Look for kinks, internal collapse, or blockages. Replace if damaged.
  • Assess pump performance: During a drain cycle (with panels safely in place), listen to the pump. A weak humming with poor water flow suggests a failing pump motor that should be replaced.
