Washer-dryer combo will not power on at all; no lights or display

Safety first: Ensure your hands are dry when working with plugs and sockets. Do not open sealed electronic modules unless qualified.

• Check wall outlet and fuse: Test the socket with another appliance. If OK, remove the Rangemaster plug and inspect/replace the fuse with the correct rating (usually 13A in the UK).
• Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or crushed sections of the cable. If damaged, the entire cord set must be replaced.
• Check mains switch: Ensure any external wall switch or isolator is turned on.
• Internal checks (advanced): With the machine unplugged, remove the top cover and locate the mains interference filter and main PCB. Check for loose connectors or obvious burn marks. A failed filter or PCB will require replacement by a technician.
