Possible Causes
Broken drive belt, Belt slipped off pulley due to wear, Worn motor pulley, Drum pulley misalignment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the rear panel.
- Check belt condition: Remove the rear panel and inspect the belt. If it is broken or missing, locate any fragments and remove them.
- Inspect pulleys: Check the motor and drum pulleys for sharp edges, cracks, or heavy wear that could damage a new belt. Replace damaged pulleys.
- Fit new belt: Place the new Rangemaster-specified belt around the motor pulley first, then partially around the drum pulley. Rotate the drum by hand to walk the belt fully onto the pulley.
- Test operation: Refit the rear panel and run a rinse/spin cycle to confirm the drum now turns correctly.
