How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains before removing the control panel.
- Check for child lock: Refer to the Rangemaster user manual for the specific key combination to enable/disable child lock (often holding two buttons). Disable it and try again.
- Reset appliance: Turn the selector to Off, unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect and select a simple cycle.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the control panel fascia and check the ribbon cable or harness between the user interface and main PCB. Reseat connectors.
- Button test: If buttons feel stuck or do not click, the switch may be worn. Replacing the user interface PCB or fascia assembly may be required.
