Possible Causes
Blocked or kinked pressure hose, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor, Air leak in pressure hose connection, Control board misreading sensor signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply before removing covers.
- Access pressure sensor: Remove the top panel by taking out the rear screws and sliding it back. Locate the round or rectangular pressure sensor with a small rubber hose attached, usually mounted on the side frame.
- Inspect the hose: Check the hose for kinks, cracks, or disconnections at both the sensor and tub air dome. Replace if brittle or damaged.
- Clear blockages: Detach the hose from the sensor and gently blow through it toward the tub to clear soap residue or lint. Do not use sharp tools that could puncture the hose.
- Check connections: Ensure the electrical connector on the pressure sensor is fully seated and free of corrosion.
- Test cycle: Reassemble, plug in, and run a short wash cycle. If E6 returns and water level is abnormal (overfilling or underfilling), the sensor is likely faulty.
- When to replace parts: Replace the water level (pressure) sensor if hose and connections are good but E6 persists. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main control board may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
