Possible Causes

Stuck-open water inlet valve, Blocked or detached pressure hose, Faulty water level sensor, Control board not shutting off fill

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit immediately if it is overfilling. Shut off both water supply valves to prevent flooding.

  • Check tub water level: If the drum is overfull, manually drain water using the drain filter or a wet/dry vacuum before proceeding.
  • Inspect inlet valves: Turn off water supply and disconnect hoses. Check if water continues to flow through the valve when disconnected from power (a stuck valve). Replace if it leaks when de-energized.
  • Inspect pressure hose and sensor: Remove the top panel and verify the pressure hose is securely attached and not split. Clear any blockage by gently blowing through the hose.
  • Run a test fill: With hoses reconnected and water turned on, run a small load and watch the fill. If water continues to enter after the correct level is reached, suspect the inlet valve or control board.
  • When to replace parts: Replace the water inlet valve assembly if it leaks or fails to close. If the valve is good but the sensor misreads level, replace the water level sensor. Persistent overfill with good valve and sensor points to a faulty main control board.
