Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Seized drum bearings, Faulty drive motor, Control board not energizing motor in dry mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Stop the cycle immediately, unplug the unit, and allow it to cool to avoid fire risk.
- Check drum movement: Open the door and try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is stuck, bearings or obstructions may be at fault.
- Inspect belt: Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is intact and on both pulleys. Replace if broken or off.
- Assess motor: If the belt is good but the motor does not run in dry mode, a technician should test the motor and control outputs.
- When to replace parts: Replace the drive belt if broken. If the motor fails to run under load, replace the drive motor. Control issues may require a new main control board.
