Possible Causes
Faulty Roborock overflow sensor, Blocked pressure chamber causing false high level, Control board detecting unsafe water level, Stuck inlet valve allowing overfill
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps. Do not force the door open when water is visible in the drum.
- Manually drain: Use the emergency drain hose or open the drain filter slowly to remove water into a shallow pan.
- Inspect inlet valve: After draining, turn water taps back on briefly and watch if water enters the drum without a cycle running. If so, the Roborock inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Clean pressure system: Access the pressure hose and air trap from the tub. Clean out detergent sludge or debris.
- Test again: Run a rinse and spin. If E16 recurs, the overflow sensor or main control board may be faulty and require professional service.
