Possible Causes
Clogged Roborock drain pump filter, Foreign object in drain pump impeller, Blocked drain hose or standpipe, Failed Roborock drain pump motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Roborock washer-dryer combo. Water may spill when opening the filter—have towels and a shallow tray ready.
- Access the drain filter: Open the lower service flap on the front of the unit. Place a tray under the filter cap.
- Drain residual water: If equipped with an emergency drain tube, pull it out and drain into the tray. Then slowly unscrew the filter cap to release remaining water.
- Clean the filter: Remove lint, coins, hairpins, and other debris from the Roborock drain filter and housing. Spin the pump impeller with your finger to ensure it moves freely.
- Check the drain hose: Inspect the rear drain hose for kinks or clogs. Detach from the standpipe and flush with water if necessary.
- Test operation: Reinstall the filter, close the flap, reconnect power, and run a drain/spin cycle. If E2 persists and you hear no pump noise, the Roborock drain pump motor is likely faulty and should be replaced.
