Possible Causes
Loose or broken Roborock drive belt (if belt-driven), Failed Roborock BLDC drive motor, Faulty motor hall sensor (tachometer), Defective Roborock inverter drive board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any panels. Do not run the unit with covers removed.
- Check for overloading: Remove excess laundry and try a smaller test load. Overloading can trigger motor protection.
- Listen for motor attempt: Start a spin cycle and listen. A humming noise with no drum movement can indicate a jammed drum or belt issue.
- Inspect drum movement: With power off, open the door and rotate the drum by hand. It should turn smoothly without grinding or binding.
- Access rear panel: Remove the rear cover. Inspect the Roborock drive belt (if present) for breakage or slipping. Refit or replace if loose or snapped.
- Advanced checks: For direct-drive BLDC systems, inspect the motor connector and wiring harness to the Roborock inverter board. Look for burnt marks or loose plugs. If the belt and wiring are fine, the motor or inverter board may need replacement and is best handled by a qualified technician.
