Possible Causes
Foreign object between inner drum and outer tub, Worn Roborock drum bearings, Cracked drum spider arm, Loose drum pulley (if belt-driven)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before manual drum inspection.
- Check drum interior: Run your hand carefully around the inside of the drum and along the drum holes to feel for protruding objects like bra wires or screws.
- Spin by hand: Rotate the drum slowly. Listen for grinding or scraping. If noise is present with no load, bearings or spider may be failing.
- Inspect rear bearing area: Remove the rear panel and check for brown rust streaks or play in the drum shaft.
- Foreign object removal: Sometimes objects can be retrieved through the heater opening or sump hose connection. Remove these components only if comfortable doing so.
- Major repairs: Bearing or spider replacement on a Roborock combo is complex and usually requires tub removal; professional service is recommended.
