Washer-dryer combo does not fill with water and displays 4E (or 4C on some models).

Possible Causes
Closed or partially closed water supply valves, Clogged inlet filters at water valves, Faulty Samsung water inlet valve assembly, Kinked or frozen inlet hoses
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before disconnecting hoses. Expect some water spillage.
Steps to resolve:
- Check household water supply: Verify both hot and cold faucets feeding the washer are fully open. Confirm water pressure by briefly running water into a bucket from each hose.
- Inspect hoses: Pull the unit forward slightly. Ensure inlet hoses are not kinked, crushed, or frozen (in cold climates). Straighten or thaw as needed.
- Clean inlet filters: Turn off water valves. Unscrew the hoses from the back of the washer. Inside each water inlet port you will see a small mesh filter. Gently pull out the filters with needle-nose pliers and rinse under running water to remove sediment. Reinstall filters and reconnect hoses firmly.
- Run a test fill: Turn water back on, check for leaks, plug the unit in, and start a normal cycle to confirm proper filling.
When to stop: If 4E/4C still appears and water pressure is good, the internal water inlet valve assembly may be defective and should be replaced. This involves removing the top cover and disconnecting electrical connectors and hoses; if you are not comfortable with this, contact a Samsung-authorized technician.
