Washer-dryer combo will not start or stops mid-cycle with DE or dE displayed. Door will not lock properly.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing any panels or working near the door lock.

Steps to troubleshoot:

• Check for obstructions: Inspect the door area for clothing or foreign objects preventing full closure. Clean the door latch area.
• Inspect latch and strike: Look for cracks or bending in the door latch and strike. Tighten loose screws and replace damaged parts.
• Access door lock: Remove the outer clamp ring from the door boot and peel back the gasket to access the door lock. Verify the wiring connector is fully seated and wires are not damaged.
• Test operation: Reassemble the gasket and clamp, then run a short cycle to see if DE clears.

When to stop: If the door still does not lock or unlock correctly, replace the door lock assembly. If a new lock does not fix the issue, the main PCB may require replacement.
