• 1. Access the heater:
  • Remove the rear panel to access the bottom of the tub.
  • Locate the wash heating element and its wiring harness.
• 2. Test the heating element:
  • Disconnect the heater connectors.
  • Measure resistance across the heater terminals; typical values are 20–30 Ω (check Siemens specs).
  • If open circuit or short to earth (test between each terminal and ground), replace the heater.
• 3. Check the NTC sensor:
  • The NTC is usually mounted in the heater bracket or tub wall.
  • Measure its resistance at room temperature; it should be within the specified range (often 4–20 kΩ).
  • If reading is out of range or does not change with temperature, replace the NTC sensor.
• 4. Inspect wiring and control:
  • Check for burnt connectors or discolored wires at the heater and NTC.
  • Ensure the harness to the power module is intact and firmly seated.
  • If heater and NTC are good but no power is supplied during heating phase, the power module relay may be faulty and require replacement.
