  • Inspect the belt between the motor pulley and drum pulley.
  • If the belt is off, frayed, or broken, replace it and ensure correct tension.
• 2. Inspect motor and brushes (if carbon-brush motor):
  • Remove the motor from the base of the tub.
  • Check carbon brushes for length (typically <1 cm means worn out).
  • Replace brushes as a pair if worn, and clean the commutator.
• 3. Check tachometer sensor:
  • On the motor shaft, locate the tachometer coil or sensor.
  • Inspect wiring and connector for damage.
  • Measure resistance of the tach coil; if open circuit, replace the motor or tach assembly.
• 4. Inverter / control module (for brushless motors):
  • If the machine uses a brushless (BLDC) motor, inspect the inverter board for burnt components.
  • Check harness connections between motor and inverter.
  • Inverter or main control replacement is usually required if faulty.
