Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber on tub, Clogged or split pressure switch hose, Faulty pressure switch, Loose pressure switch connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply before opening the machine.

  • Locate pressure switch: Remove the top cover. The pressure switch is a round device connected to a small rubber hose from the tub.
  • Inspect hose: Check the hose for kinks, splits, or blockages (soap scum, lint). Remove and blow through it to ensure it is clear. Replace if perished or cracked.
  • Clean pressure chamber: At the tub end, the hose connects to a small chamber. If accessible, clean out any sludge or detergent build-up that could trap air.
  • Check electrical connector: Ensure the pressure switch plug is firmly seated and free of corrosion.
  • Test switch: With a multimeter, test continuity across the switch terminals while gently blowing into the hose to simulate water level changes. Replace the pressure switch if it does not switch reliably.
  • Test cycle: Reassemble and run a wash and dry cycle to confirm E10 is resolved.
