Washer-dryer displays E19; drying cycle does not start or stops quickly.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before working on the condenser system.

• Clean condenser (if accessible): Some SMEG combos have a serviceable condenser unit accessible via a lower front flap. Remove and rinse the condenser thoroughly under running water to remove lint and detergent residue.
• Check condenser pump: Access the internal condenser pump (often near the drain pump). Inspect for blockages and ensure the impeller spins freely. Clean any lint or debris.
• Inspect hoses: Check the small hoses that carry water to and from the condenser for kinks or blockages. Flush them if necessary.
• Test pump motor: Use a multimeter to check continuity of the condenser pump motor. Replace if open-circuit or seized.
• Run test dry: Reassemble and run a drying cycle to confirm that E19 is cleared and drying performance is restored.
