Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Failed user interface board, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Main control communication failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the console or control panel.
- 1. Check for moisture: Inspect the control panel area for signs of water spills, condensation, or detergent residue. Allow to dry completely if damp.
- 2. Access console: Remove screws securing the control console and gently tilt it forward to access the user interface board and ribbon cables.
- 3. Reseat ribbon cables: Carefully disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable(s) between the UI and main control. Ensure they are fully inserted and locked.
- 4. Visual inspection: Look for corrosion on connectors or burn marks on the UI board. Replace the UI if damaged.
- 5. Test operation: Reassemble the console, restore power, and test button response and display.
- 6. Replace boards as needed: If reseating cables does not resolve Er10, replace the user interface board first. If the issue persists, the main control board may also need replacement.
