Possible Causes
Faulty moisture sensor circuit, Failed cycling thermostat, Control board auto-dry logic failure, Open thermistor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before testing thermostats or sensors.
- 1. Test timed dry: Run a timed dry cycle. If it works normally, the issue is likely in the auto-dry sensor or control logic.
- 2. Recheck moisture sensor: Clean and test as described for Er13.
- 3. Thermostat and thermistor test: Access the dryer heater housing and blower area. Test the cycling thermostat and thermistor for proper resistance at room temperature and compare to specs.
- 4. Replace faulty components: Install new OEM moisture sensor, cycling thermostat, or thermistor as indicated by tests.
- 5. Control board replacement: If all field components test good, the main control's auto-dry circuit may be defective and require replacement.
