Possible Causes

Stuck relay on main control board, Software glitch in control, Loose harness to motor or pump, Internal control failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the control board.

  • 1. Power reset: Unplug the unit for 10–15 minutes to clear any temporary control lockup. Plug back in and attempt a rinse & spin cycle.
  • 2. Listen for relays: During cycle start, listen for clicking from the control board. No clicks may indicate relay failure.
  • 3. Inspect control board: Remove the top or rear panel to access the board. Look for burnt spots or damaged solder joints near relays.
  • 4. Harness check: Verify all connectors from the control to the motor, pump, and valves are secure.
  • 5. Replace control board: If visual inspection shows damage or Er9 persists after reset and harness checks, replace the main control board with an OEM part.
