Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Summit washer-dryer combo and turn off both hot and cold water supply valves before working on water connections.
- Check household water supply: Verify both hot and cold faucets feeding the combo are fully open. Confirm other faucets in the home have normal pressure.
- Inspect inlet hoses and screens: Pull the unit forward, shut off water, and disconnect the hot and cold hoses from the rear of the machine. Look inside the water inlet valve ports for small metal or plastic screens. Clean any sediment with a soft brush and rinse thoroughly.
- Check hose kinks: Make sure the inlet hoses are not kinked or crushed when the unit is pushed back into place.
- Test fill function: Reconnect hoses, turn water back on, and run a quick wash. If E1 returns, proceed.
- Inspect pressure sensor hose: Remove the top panel (usually a few screws at the back) and locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the bottom of the tub to the pressure sensor on the side/top. Ensure it is firmly connected and not cracked, pinched, or clogged with soap residue. Blow gently through the hose (with the hose disconnected from the sensor) to clear any blockage, then reconnect.
- Replace inlet valve if needed: If water supply is good and screens are clean but the unit still does not fill, the water inlet valve assembly may be defective. Label and disconnect the electrical connectors, remove mounting screws, swap in a new valve, and reassemble.
If you are not comfortable removing panels or working around water and electricity, contact a qualified appliance technician.
