Possible Causes
Failed dryer blower motor, Obstructed blower wheel with lint or foreign objects, Loose or damaged blower wiring, Seized blower bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the blower or heater area.
- Clean lint filter and ducts: Remove and clean the lint filter. Access internal air ducts (rear or side panels) and remove lint buildup that may be restricting airflow.
- Listen for blower operation: Start a drying cycle and listen near the vent or front panel (if safe). If you do not hear air movement or a fan sound, the blower motor may not be running.
- Access blower assembly (advanced): Remove the rear panel to locate the blower housing. Check for socks, lint clumps, or other obstructions in the blower wheel and housing. Remove any debris.
- Inspect blower wheel and motor: Spin the blower wheel by hand; it should turn freely without grinding. If it is seized or very stiff, the motor or bearings are likely failed and the blower motor assembly should be replaced.
- Check wiring: Ensure the blower motor connector is secure and wires are intact.
If E10 persists after cleaning and inspection, a technician should test the blower motor and control board outputs.
