Possible Causes
Open or shorted dryer NTC sensor, Loose NTC wiring harness, Sensor dislodged from its mounting point, Control board misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before accessing internal components.
- Reset power: Leave the unit unplugged for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try a drying cycle. If E11 reappears, proceed.
- Locate dryer NTC sensor: Remove the rear panel. The NTC is typically mounted on or near the heater housing or in the exhaust air duct, with two small wires attached.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to the duct or housing and that the connector is secure. Look for damaged or burnt wires.
- Replace NTC sensor: If the sensor appears damaged or if you have confirmed with a multimeter that it is open/shorted, replace it with the correct dryer NTC temperature sensor for your Summit model.
If replacing the sensor does not clear E11, the main control board may be faulty and should be evaluated by a technician.
