Washer-dryer combo drum does not spin or tumble; unit may fill and drain but shows E3 when trying to wash or spin.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing any panels. Avoid touching sharp metal edges.

• Check for overloading: Remove some laundry and try a smaller load. Overloading can prevent the drum from starting and trigger an error.
• Inspect drum movement by hand: With the door unlocked and the unit off, rotate the drum by hand. It should turn smoothly without grinding or binding. If it is seized, there may be a bearing or foreign-object issue.
• Access the drive belt: Remove the rear panel (screws around the perimeter). Locate the large drive pulley on the back of the drum and the motor pulley below.
• Check belt condition: Ensure the belt is on both pulleys and not broken, frayed, or heavily stretched. If the belt is off, inspect for damage and reinstall, ensuring proper alignment. If damaged, replace with the correct drive belt for your Summit model.
• Inspect motor wiring: Verify the motor connector is fully seated and that no wires are burnt, pinched, or broken.
• Test spin again: Reinstall the rear panel, plug in the unit, and run a spin-only cycle. If E3 returns and the belt is intact, the drive motor or motor control circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and typically requires professional testing and replacement.

Because motor and control board work involves live voltage, contact a technician if basic belt and wiring checks do not resolve the issue.
