Unbalanced Load / Out-of-Balance Detection
Washer-dryer combo displays E4 and stops during spin; drum may be banging or not reaching full speed.

Possible Causes
Load distributed unevenly in drum, Mixed heavy and light items causing imbalance, Worn suspension springs or shock absorbers, Excessive vibration due to leveling issues
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands clear of the drum while it is spinning. Unplug the unit before adjusting leveling feet.
- Redistribute the load: Open the door when safe (after drum stops). Remove tangled items and redistribute laundry evenly around the drum. Avoid washing a single heavy item (like a bath mat) alone; add a few similar-weight items.
- Reduce load size: If the drum is tightly packed, remove some items and run a smaller load.
- Check machine leveling: Place a bubble level on top of the unit. Adjust the front and rear leveling feet so the washer-dryer combo is stable and does not rock when pushed diagonally at the corners. Lock the feet in place with the jam nuts if provided.
- Inspect suspension (advanced): Unplug the unit and remove the top panel. Gently press down on the drum and release; it should bounce once or twice and settle. If it continues to bounce or feels loose, the suspension springs or shock absorbers may be worn and require replacement.
If E4 occurs frequently even with properly loaded and leveled conditions, have a technician inspect the suspension system and out-of-balance detection circuitry.
