Possible Causes

Blocked drain pump filter, Obstructed drain pump impeller, Clogged drain hose or standpipe, Failed drain pump motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Teka combo and keep towels or a shallow tray ready for water spillage.

  • Access the pump filter: Locate the service flap at the lower front of the machine. Open it and place a tray underneath.
  • Drain residual water: If equipped with an emergency drain hose, pull it out and drain into a container. Otherwise, slowly unscrew the pump filter cap to let water out gradually.
  • Clean the filter: Remove coins, lint, buttons, and debris from the filter and pump cavity. Check that the pump impeller spins freely with your finger.
  • Inspect the drain hose: Check the rear drain hose for kinks or blockages. Detach from the standpipe or sink trap and flush with water.
  • Test the pump (advanced): With power disconnected and access panel removed, check the pump wiring connector. Use a multimeter to verify coil resistance. If the pump hums but does not turn, or is open circuit, replace the drain pump.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit the filter securely, close the flap, reconnect hoses, and run a drain/spin program.

Warning: Never run the machine with the pump filter removed; this can cause leaks and damage.
