Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close water taps. Mop up any spilled water.
- Check for overfilling: If the drum is visibly overfull, manually drain via the pump filter before proceeding.
- Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the small rubber hose running from the bottom of the tub to the pressure switch. Check for kinks, splits, or blockages (detergent sludge).
- Clean pressure chamber: Detach the hose at the tub end and blow through it to clear residue. If blocked, clean the tub connection with a small brush and hot water.
- Test the pressure switch: With the hose attached, gently blow into it and listen for clicks inside the switch. Use a multimeter to verify contact change when pressure is applied. Replace if unresponsive.
- Check inlet valve: If water continues to enter even when the machine is off, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
Warning: Overflow conditions can damage flooring and nearby cabinets. If the error recurs after these checks, a PCB fault may be present and requires professional service.
