Possible Causes

Failed dryer heating element, Open thermal fuse or safety thermostat, Blocked condenser or air duct, Faulty dryer fan motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer-dryer and allow it to cool before working on the drying system.

  • Clean lint and condenser: Remove the lower front access panel (if applicable) and clean the condenser unit thoroughly with running water. Clear lint from all accessible air passages.
  • Check airflow: Ensure the rear and sides of the appliance are not blocked. Restricted airflow can cause overheating and trip safety devices.
  • Access dryer heater: On many Teka combos, the dryer heater is located in the upper rear duct. Remove the top cover and rear panel to access.
  • Test heater and thermostats: Disconnect the heater terminals and measure resistance. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element. Check inline thermostats and thermal fuses for continuity; replace any open components with Teka-specified parts.
  • Inspect dryer fan: Spin the dryer fan by hand to ensure it moves freely. If seized or noisy, replace the fan motor.

Warning: Do not bypass thermal fuses or thermostats; they are critical safety components. If parts repeatedly fail, a deeper airflow or control issue must be diagnosed professionally.
