Possible Causes

Blocked condenser unit, Clogged lint filter or air ducts, Failed dryer fan motor, Stuck or failed exhaust flap (if fitted)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool before cleaning.

  • Clean condenser: If your Teka combo has a removable condenser, open the lower front flap, unlock the condenser, and rinse thoroughly under running water until clear.
  • Remove lint: Vacuum or brush lint from all accessible air channels, including around the door seal and internal ducting.
  • Check dryer fan: Access the fan (usually at the rear or top). Ensure it spins freely and is not obstructed by lint or foreign objects.
  • Verify installation: Ensure the appliance has adequate ventilation space around it as per Teka installation instructions.

Warning: Persistent overheating can trip safety thermostats and damage components. If E12 recurs after thorough cleaning, have a technician inspect the fan motor and thermostats.
