Possible Causes
Door lock still energized due to hot water, Faulty door interlock, Control board not sending unlock signal, Mechanical jam in latch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off and unplug the appliance. Do not force the door open.
- Wait and cool: Allow 5–10 minutes for the lock to cool and release, especially after high-temperature or drying cycles.
- Check water level: If water is visible in the drum, run a drain-only program. The door will not open if the machine senses water inside.
- Use emergency release: Access the manual door release near the pump filter (if fitted) and pull gently.
- Inspect lock (advanced): If the problem recurs, replace the door lock assembly.
Warning: Forcing the door can break hinges and glass. Always use the emergency release or professional help.
