Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, Residual detergent and fabric softener in seal and drum, Clogged drain paths, Poor ventilation after use
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use gloves and ensure good ventilation when using cleaning agents.
- Run a maintenance wash: Run an empty 60–90°C cotton cycle with a washing machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar (check Teka manual for compatibility).
- Clean door seal: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild detergent or diluted bleach. Remove visible mold and residue.
- Clean detergent drawer: Remove and scrub the drawer and housing to eliminate slime and mold.
- Leave door open: After each use, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying.
Warning: Do not mix bleach with vinegar or other cleaners; dangerous fumes can form.
