Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Water may spill when opening the filter—have towels and a shallow tray ready.

• 1. Access the drain filter: On most Xiaomi washer-dryer combos, the drain filter is behind a small lower front panel or flap. Open it to expose the filter cap.
• 2. Drain residual water: If equipped, pull out the emergency drain tube and drain water into a tray. If not, slowly loosen the filter cap to let water out gradually.
• 3. Clean the filter: Remove the filter completely and clear lint, coins, hairpins, and other debris. Check inside the pump housing for obstructions and carefully rotate the impeller to ensure it moves freely.
• 4. Inspect the drain hose: At the back of the unit, verify the drain hose is not kinked, crushed, or inserted too far into the standpipe (which can cause siphoning). Clear any visible blockages.
• 5. Test operation: Reinstall the filter securely, plug in the machine, and run a drain or spin cycle. If E2 persists and you hear no pump noise, the Xiaomi drain pump motor may have failed and should be replaced.
• 6. Pump replacement (advanced): Lay the unit back slightly (protect the floor), remove the bottom or front lower panel, disconnect pump wiring and hoses (expect water), remove mounting screws, and install a new Xiaomi drain pump assembly.
