Possible Causes
Leak from Xiaomi door gasket, Loose or cracked tub-to-pump hose, Leaking detergent drawer or inlet hose, Water in base triggering float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps immediately if a leak is suspected. Water and electricity are hazardous together.
- 1. Inspect visible areas: Check around the door gasket, detergent drawer, and rear hoses for obvious drips or puddles.
- 2. Tilt and drain base (temporary): Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward or forward (with help) to see if water drains from the base. This may temporarily reset the float switch but does not fix the leak source.
- 3. Remove lower panel (if accessible): Take off the bottom or front kick panel to inspect the base tray. Look for water, mineral tracks, or active drips while adding a small amount of water to the drum.
- 4. Check hoses and clamps: Examine the Xiaomi tub-to-pump hose, pump outlet hose, and inlet hoses for cracks or loose clamps. Tighten or replace as needed.
- 5. Inspect door gasket: Look for tears, holes, or mold damage on the Xiaomi door seal. Replace if compromised.
- 6. After repair: Dry the base completely (towels, gentle fan) before reassembling and testing. If E9 reappears and no leak is visible, the float switch or wiring may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
