Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber, Split or blocked pressure hose, Faulty pressure sensor, Loose sensor connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect mains power and close the water tap.

  • Locate pressure sensor: Remove the top cover and find the round or rectangular pressure sensor connected to a thin rubber hose.
  • Inspect hose: Check for splits, kinks, or disconnection at either end. Replace the hose if perished or hardened.
  • Clean pressure chamber: At the tub end, remove and clean the air chamber where the hose connects. Soap scum can block it and prevent correct pressure readings.
  • Check electrical connector: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated and free of corrosion.
  • Replace sensor if needed: If E31 persists and the hose/chamber are clear, replace the pressure sensor with a genuine Zanussi part.
