Possible Causes

Failed wash heater element, Faulty dryer heater, Defective NTC temperature sensor, Wiring fault to heater or sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool fully before touching any heater components.

  • Determine which heater: Check if the issue occurs during wash heating, drying, or both.
  • Test wash heater: Access the tub heater from the rear or front (depending on model) and measure resistance. Replace if open circuit or shorted to earth.
  • Test dryer heater: Access the dryer heater assembly (usually at the rear or top) and measure resistance. Replace if faulty.
  • Check NTC sensors: Measure resistance of the wash and dryer NTC sensors at room temperature and compare with specifications. Replace if out of range.

If heaters and sensors are good, the PCB heater relay or triac may be defective and require professional replacement.
