Safety first: Unplug the washer. Water may spill when opening the filter; keep towels and a shallow tray ready.

• 1. Access and clean the pump filter: Open the lower service flap on the front of the Amica washer. Place a tray under the filter cap. Slowly unscrew the cap to let water drain. Remove the filter and clean out coins, lint, buttons, or other debris. Check inside the pump housing for obstructions.
• 2. Check the pump impeller: With the filter removed, look at the impeller. It should turn freely with slight resistance. If jammed or broken, the pump assembly must be replaced.
• 3. Inspect the drain hose: Check the external drain hose for kinks, freezing, or clogs at the standpipe or sink connection. Detach the hose and flush it with water if necessary.
• 4. Test the pump electrically: With power still disconnected, access the pump from the rear or bottom (depending on model). Inspect wiring connectors for burning or looseness. Use a multimeter to check the pump motor winding for continuity. If open or shorted, replace the drain pump.
• 5. Reassemble and test: Refit the filter securely, close the flap, reconnect hoses, and run a drain or spin program. If E03 persists with a clear filter and good pump, the main control module or wiring harness may require professional diagnosis.
