Possible Causes
Load too small or too heavy on one side, Worn suspension shock absorbers, Faulty drum balance sensor (if fitted), Excessive vibration due to installation issues
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before moving or tilting it.
- 1. Rebalance the load: Open the door (after the lock releases) and redistribute laundry evenly around the drum. Avoid washing a single heavy item alone. Remove some items if the drum is overfilled.
- 2. Check machine level: Ensure the Amica washer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust the front feet and lock the nuts. A spirit level is recommended.
- 3. Inspect shock absorbers: Remove the rear panel and observe the suspension shocks attached to the tub. If they are leaking oil, loose, or allow the tub to bounce excessively, replace them as a pair.
- 4. Examine springs and weights: Check the top suspension springs and concrete counterweights for cracks or looseness. Tighten mounting bolts as needed.
- 5. Test spin: Run a spin-only program with a balanced medium load. If E08 persists, a balance sensor or control issue may require professional service.
