Possible Causes

Shorted door lock coil, Faulty triac on main PCB, Damaged wiring harness to door lock, Moisture ingress in lock area

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer before inspecting the lock or control board.

  • 1. Inspect door lock and wiring: Remove the door lock and check for signs of overheating or moisture. Inspect the harness for damage.
  • 2. Test lock coil: Measure resistance across the lock coil terminals. A very low resistance may indicate a shorted coil; replace the lock.
  • 3. Dry the area: If moisture is present around the lock or in the door seal, dry thoroughly and check for leaks from the dispenser or door gasket.
  • 4. PCB evaluation: If a new lock and good wiring still produce E43, the door lock triac on the PCB is likely faulty. Replace the main control module.
