Possible Causes

Blocked pressure sensor hose, Defective water level pressure switch, Stuck-open water inlet valve, Faulty main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer immediately if it is overfilling. Shut off both water supply valves.

  • Step 1 – Verify inlet valves close: With power disconnected and water supply turned off, remove the top panel and inspect the water inlet valve assembly. If water continues to flow when valves are open and power is off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck and must be replaced.
  • Step 2 – Inspect pressure hose: Locate the pressure sensor and its thin rubber hose running to the tub or air chamber. Remove the hose and blow through it to ensure it is clear. Clean any soap scum or lint from the air chamber connection on the tub.
  • Step 3 – Check for leaks or cracks: Replace the pressure hose if it is brittle, cracked, or loose at either end.
  • Step 4 – Test pressure switch: Using a multimeter, check continuity across the pressure switch terminals while gently blowing into the sensor port. The contacts should change state as pressure increases. If not, replace the Asko pressure sensor.
  • Step 5 – Control board inspection: If the inlet valves and pressure system test good, inspect the main PCB for burnt traces or components. A faulty board may continue to energize the inlet valves.

Do not operate the washer if it continues to overfill; contact a professional if you cannot identify the cause.
