Possible Causes
Intermittent door lock switch, Loose door lock wiring harness, Faulty safety interlock circuit on PCB, Misaligned door strike on Asko door
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the door lock or control board.
- Step 1 – Inspect door strike: Check that the door strike (hook) lines up correctly with the door lock opening. Tighten any loose screws and adjust if necessary.
- Step 2 – Check door lock wiring: Remove the front panel or door seal clamp to access the door lock. Inspect the wiring harness for loose connectors, corrosion, or broken wires. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Step 3 – Test door lock contacts: With the lock removed, use a multimeter to test continuity across the lock contacts when the mechanism is engaged. Replace the door lock assembly if readings are inconsistent.
- Step 4 – PCB inspection: If the lock and wiring are good, inspect the main PCB for damage in the door interlock circuit area. Look for burnt spots or cracked solder joints.
If E07 recurs intermittently, replacing the door lock assembly is often the most effective solution.
