Possible Causes
Loose or blocked pressure hose, Faulty pressure sensor on Asko control panel area, Air trap blocked with detergent residue, Wiring fault between sensor and PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply.
- Step 1 – Access pressure sensor: Remove the top panel. Locate the round or rectangular pressure sensor with a small hose attached.
- Step 2 – Inspect hose: Remove the hose from the sensor and from the tub/air chamber. Rinse it under warm water to clear any soap or lint. Ensure it is not kinked when reinstalled.
- Step 3 – Clean air trap: At the tub connection, clean the air chamber or nipple where the hose attaches. Detergent buildup here can block air flow.
- Step 4 – Electrical test: Check the sensor connector for corrosion or loose pins. Measure sensor resistance or voltage output per Asko service data. Replace the pressure sensor if readings are out of spec.
- Step 5 – Wiring continuity: If the sensor is good, test continuity of the wiring harness from the sensor to the main PCB.
Reassemble and run a test cycle. If E08 persists, the main control board may be at fault.
