If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer. Electronic repairs should only be done by qualified persons.
- Step 1 – Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and try to start a cycle. Sometimes transient faults clear with a reset.
- Step 2 – Visual inspection: Remove the top panel and locate the main control board (usually in a plastic housing). Inspect for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or darkened areas.
- Step 3 – Check connectors: Reseat all wiring connectors to the PCB, ensuring they are fully engaged and not corroded.
- Step 4 – Peripheral isolation: If you have technical skills, disconnect non-essential loads (e.g., heater, motor) one at a time and see if E09 changes, which may indicate a shorted component.
In most cases, E09 requires replacement of the main control board with an Asko-specific PCB. This is typically a level 5 repair best handled by an authorized technician.
