Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC wiring connector, Damaged harness between NTC and PCB, Faulty main control board temperature circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the heater area.
- Step 1 – Locate NTC sensor: Remove the rear or front lower panel to access the heater bracket. The NTC sensor is usually clipped into the heater housing or tub wall.
- Step 2 – Inspect wiring: Check the NTC connector for corrosion, loose fit, or broken wires. Reseat the connector.
- Step 3 – Measure resistance: At room temperature, measure resistance across the NTC terminals. Compare to Asko specifications (commonly in the tens of kΩ). A reading of 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a bad sensor.
- Step 4 – Replace NTC: If faulty, remove the sensor from its bracket and install a new Asko-compatible NTC sensor, ensuring good thermal contact with the tub or heater housing.
If the NTC tests good but E10 remains, the control board’s temperature circuit may be defective and require replacement.
