Possible Causes
Failed UI PCB on Asko control panel, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture ingress into control panel, Stuck or shorted keypad
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and test. Sometimes UI faults clear after a reset.
- Step 2 – Inspect control panel: Remove the top panel and then the front control fascia as per Asko instructions. Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or detergent residue on the UI board.
- Step 3 – Check ribbon cable: Reseat the ribbon cable or harness between the UI and main PCB. Ensure it is not pinched or damaged.
- Step 4 – Button test: With power off, press each button to ensure it moves freely and is not stuck. A stuck key can cause UI errors.
If E15 persists, the user interface board likely needs replacement with an Asko-specific part.
