How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and prepare for water spillage.
- Step 1 – Identify pump type: Some Asko models have a separate recirculation pump in addition to the main drain pump. Consult your model’s layout.
- Step 2 – Clean filters and hoses: Access the lower front area and clean any filters or hoses connected to the auxiliary pump.
- Step 3 – Test pump: Spin the pump impeller by hand and check for obstructions. Measure motor resistance; replace the pump if open or seized.
- Step 4 – Wiring and PCB: Inspect wiring to the pump and the corresponding connector on the PCB.
If you are unsure whether your Asko model has a recirculation pump, refer to the service manual or contact support.
