Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Bauknecht washer from the mains and turn off the water supply before any work. Do not work on live circuits.
F01 on many Bauknecht front-loaders indicates a motor control or triac fault on the main PCB.
- Power reset: Unplug the washer for 10–15 minutes, then reconnect and try a short cycle. Sometimes transient faults clear.
- Inspect motor connector: Remove the rear panel, locate the drive motor at the bottom of the tub, and check the multi-pin connector. Reseat it firmly and look for burnt pins or corrosion.
- Check wiring harness: Follow the motor harness up to the main control module (often at the top rear or side). Look for pinched, cut, or burnt wires. Repair or replace damaged sections using proper crimp connectors and insulation.
- Spin test: With belt removed (if belt-driven), spin the drum by hand. It should rotate smoothly without grinding. A seized motor or drum can overload the triac.
- Control board inspection: Remove the control panel and inspect the main PCB for burnt spots near the motor triac or relay. If you see visible damage, the control module should be replaced as a complete unit.
When to call a technician: If the error returns after wiring checks, or if you suspect a failed triac or motor windings, professional diagnosis with a multimeter and insulation tester is recommended.
