Drain pump or drain circuit fault
Washer does not drain, cycle stops with F02 on display and water remains in drum

Possible Causes
Blocked drain pump filter, clogged drain hose, failed drain pump motor, wiring fault between pump and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and prepare towels or a shallow tray for water spillage.
- Clean pump filter: On most Bauknecht front-loaders, the pump filter is behind a small access door at the bottom front. Open the door, place a tray under it, and slowly unscrew the filter cap to let water drain. Remove debris (coins, lint, buttons) and clean the filter thoroughly.
- Check pump impeller: With the filter removed, look inside at the pump impeller. Ensure it spins freely and is not jammed by foreign objects. Remove any obstruction carefully.
- Inspect drain hose: Pull the washer forward and check the drain hose for kinks or clogs. Detach it from the standpipe or sink trap and flush it with water to clear blockages.
- Test a drain/spin cycle: Refit the filter securely, reconnect the hose, plug the washer back in, and run a drain or spin-only program. Listen for the pump running.
If problem persists: The drain pump motor may be faulty or not receiving power. Replacement of the drain pump assembly or wiring diagnosis may be required.
