Possible Causes
Stuck heater relay on control board, shorted heating element, incorrect signal from pressure switch, wiring short between heater and control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the machine to cool.
- Check for overfilling or underfilling: If the water level seems wrong, inspect the pressure switch and hose as in F04.
- Inspect heater and wiring: Look for signs of overheating or melted insulation around the heater terminals and harness. Replace damaged parts.
- Continuity and insulation tests: Test the heater for correct resistance and for leakage to earth. Replace if faulty.
- Power reset: After checks, unplug for 10 minutes, reconnect, and run a short cycle to see if F08 clears.
Persistent F08: Often indicates a defective main control board (heater relay stuck on/off) and may require board replacement.
