Possible Causes
Corrupted control board memory, incorrect configuration data, pressure switch misreading causing overflow, wiring fault to pressure switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer.
- Power reset: Leave the washer unplugged for at least 15 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and test.
- Check pressure system: Inspect and clean the pressure hose and chamber as in F04 to ensure correct water level sensing.
- Check for leaks into control area: Remove the top cover and inspect the control board for signs of moisture or detergent residue. Dry gently with a hairdryer on cool setting if damp (do not overheat).
If F09 returns: The main control board may need reprogramming or replacement. This typically requires a Bauknecht service technician with the correct programming tools.
